We advise our customers to use recycled paper

Recycled paper is paper that contains fibre from waste paper. However, there is no universal standard. The Sustainable Office Forum (TSOF) Checklist states that recycled paper should include as high a proportion of post consumer waste fibre as possible. At Abacus we actively promote the use of papers that cause the least environmental damage during their manufacture. To this end we support the work of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) holding FSC Chain of Custody.

We can guide you through the various labelling schemes, advise you on which paper is the best for your project, and answer your questions such as: should I use recycled or FSC paper? What is a sustainable forest? What is the difference between TCF and ECF bleaching? Where was the paper made and how was it produced?

On average paper manufacturing accounts for 70% of the total energy use in the printing of your literature and the assessment of carbon emissions can be a complex issue.

We are here to help.
